About

The Shakori Sessions is a monthly podcast featuring alumni of the Shakori Hills GrassRoots Festival.

The Shakori Sessions idea was conceived by David Dean, host and executive producer of the podcast, a few years ago. However, it has only been through the support of the Pittsboro business community that the idea became a reality.

Early in the recording of the program it became clear we do not have a strict format. Most podcasts will be a mix of interviews and performances, however, some will revolve around the interview while others will be mainly performances.

Additionally, as we have gotten better at doing this, you will find some Shakori Sessions will be packaged with high quality video.

Make sure you subscribe to the podcast and follow Shakori Hills GrassRoots Festival on YouTube so you do not miss any releases.

The Shakori Sessions would not be possible without the shared vision and passion of our audio engineer, producer, and owner of Circle City Recording, John Delaforce.

Additionally, the team at Manifold Recording have been very generous with their time and talents and are a key partner in this program.

We would also like to thank everyone who has helped produce the first season, including Randy Voller, Luke McMahan, Aaron Hall, Peyton Sickles, Dalvin Nichols, Rich Levine, and all the band representatives who have helped with logistics and promotions.

Lastly, we would like to thank the dedicated staff, volunteers, and fans of Shakori Hills GrassRoots Festival.
